Faith Hill’s Braces Confidently on Display as She Walks the Red Carpet
Country music mega star Faith Hill is gracing award show red carpets with an accessory that’s generating major buzz. No, not a gazillion dollar diamond necklace, but rather a mouth full of clear braces.
The 45-year-old singer and wife to fellow country music legend Tim McGraw received the subtle braces on her teeth last year, but just recently snatched the attention of the public after grinning big on the red carpet of the Grammy Awards in February. She continued her orthodontics awareness tour of sorts at April’s Association of Country Music Awards, where she swapped the barely noticeable metal wires for even more discreet clear plastic caps placed over her brackets.
Hill admitted to country radio station KNIX the common childhood mistake that led to the necessity for adult treatment.
“I forgot to wear my retainer – kids, wear your retainer!” Hill says.
She continued the discussion on Twitter after the Grammy debut of her braces.
“I’ve seen your posts and the news discussion on my braces…whoa! Wear your braces proudly. Thanks everyone for all the kind words!”
Sherwood Park orthodontist Dr. Amer Hussain offers similar invisible braces to his adult patients. A provider of cutting-edge aligning methods, Dr. Hussain and his team at Pure Orthodontics can administer self-ligating clear braces, clear and nearly undetectable brackets free of ties or other yellowing plastics.
Faith Hill opted for fixed-bracket clear braces, but many adults choose to straighten their teeth with Invisalign, a system of invisible aligners that comfortably shift teeth into perfect position. However, not everyone is an ideal candidate for Invisalign. Adults interested in adjusting their teeth should schedule a consultation with Dr. Hussain to discuss which treatment option is most suitable for their unique situation.
Lingual braces are another viable option for adults aiming to avoid visible appliances. These braces place smooth, small brackets on the back side of the teeth for a truly invisible treatment experience. With Dr. Hussain and the Pure Orthodontics team, adult patients have plenty of practical options to choose from.
“I think the positive feedback Faith Hill is receiving for her braces speak volumes about the benefits of adult orthodontics,” says Dr. Hussain. “As an Invisalign orthodontist in South Edmonton, West Edmonton, and Sherwood Park, I can tell you that modern treatments are discreet and a viable option for patients of all ages.”
It’s true. Teeth naturally shift overtime, often due to bone maturation, hormonal changes and even tooth grinding at night. These factors can lead to movements in the jaw that create gaps which may harbor plaque and other germs that lead to gum disease.
Dr. Hussain encourages adults whose teeth may have fallen out of alignment since childhood to consider orthodontics once again. The team at Pure Orthodontics will be happy to help you meet your smile goals.
